$6bn Kuwait airport expansion project to be highlighted at EACE 2013

Arabian Reach is pleased to announce that Kuwait International Airport, one of the fast up-and-coming hub of air transportation in the Arabian Peninsula and the Middle East, will be taking part in the second edition of annual Emerging Airports Conference & Exhibition (EACE 2013), scheduled to take place on 30-31 January 2013 at the Al Bustan Rotana hotel in Dubai.

The conference focuses on major airport projects under construction and expansion in the Emerging Markets of the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Russia & Eastern Europe and will provide updates on new solutions and technologies available in the market for efficiency, safety, speed and comfort in airports. It is estimated that Emerging Markets have allocated more than $110bn for airport development projects over the next few years.

On behalf of Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Fawaz A Al-Farah - President of Kuwait Civil Aviation will make a presentation on the recently unveiled Kuwait Airports plan to expand the airport's capacity from 6 million passengers per year to 20 million passengers per year and turn the airport into a major passenger and cargo hub. The expansion will include a new $3bn terminal equipped with the latest technology, and an additional $3bn to widen the runways, enhance the control tower and build a new control tower, and to set up a new cargo facility.

A large number of other high-profile speakers including airports directors, CEO's and senior procurement professionals have already confirmed their participation in EACE 2013. Senior decision makers from Abu Dhabi airport, GACA Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Baghdad, Brazil, GMR Group - India, Al Najaf Al Ashraf Int'l airport, TAV group, ADPI, Aeropotos de Portugal, Sulaimaniya Int'l airport, Duhok Airport, COX's Bazar Airport - Bangladesh, Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose Airport - India, Ghana Airports Company, Makyol airports company are confirmed as participants while as Egyptian Airports Company, Nigeria Airports Company, Libya Airports Company, GVK - India, Uganda CAA, Tanzania Airports Authority, ONDA - Morocco, Bangladesh CAA, and Taiwan CAA officials are expected to join the line of speakers shortly.

The 2nd annual Emerging Airports Conference & Exhibition (EACE 2013) will be held concurrently with 3rd Annual Emerging Markets Airport Awards (EMAA) 2013.
