- PRESS RELEASE
Building upon the considerable success it has achieved in the Saudi commercial sector, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd., today announced the appointment of a new channel partner, Global Distribution Company (GDC) Ltd., to distribute the company's Commercial Desktops, Servers and Monitors in the Kingdom.
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a key market for Acer because of its geographic size and the increased corporate focus on technology," commented Krishna Murthy, general manager of Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. "Acer has been supporting the kingdom's commercial sector with technologically advanced computing technologies for several years."
"Our new partnership with GDC will provide the Kingdom's burgeoning business community with even more benefits, such as additional software options, added-value bundles, reliability, faster response, and higher levels of service and support. In other words, a fully-comprehensive and integrated technology solution is now available to Saudi Arabia's private and government sectors," added Murthy.
The Acer business range includes a wide variety of handheld, notebook and desktop PCs, as well as an impressive array of digital display, networking, server, storage and other e-business solutions. A number of Saudi decision-makers visited the Acer exhibition stand at GITEX for a first-hand look at the company's commercial solutions."
Having already achieved impressive results in the Kingdom's corporate and consumer segments, Acer now plans to offer an even more robust portfolio of business products and services, not just to large corporations, but also to the country's small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
"The SME market is a particular focus for Acer," continued Murthy. "Decision-makers at large enterprises have long been aware of the business advantages that can be gained from deploying world-class technology in the heart of their organizations. SMEs are now following a similar strategy. It is this sector that is set to drive IT spending in the Kingdom over the next five years."
GDC's strong reputation and industry-leading experience in addressing the commercial sector in the Kingdom was a strong factor in the new relationship with Acer. GDC is known to provide quality service and value added concepts to resellers, and brings more than a decade of background as an IT distributor to the new partnership.
"Acer's vision is to provide the Kingdom's business community with empowering technologies and products, with user-friendly interfaces, and professional on-site after-sales logistics services," said Saad Al-Garny, Global Distribution Company Ltd.'s managing director.
"GDC shares the same vision as Acer; we believe that reliability, ease-of-use and high performance are all key factors for decision makers. With the launch of Acer's new strategy for the Saudi commercial sector, we are confident that this new partnership will bring great benefits to customers, and play a major role in making Acer the leading technology provider for the Kingdom's business sector," concluded Al-Garny.
