- United Arab Emirates: Monday, July 01 - 2002 at 15:38
- PRESS RELEASE
HSBC has announced the appointment of Mr Nik Cherrill as Head of Personal Financial Services, HSBC Bank Middle East.
Mr Cherrill has previously served in a number of capacities with HSBC in the Middle East. His curriculum vitae is set out below.
HSBC's Personal Financial Services are delivered through a number of channels, the most recent being Personal Internet Banking, and comprise a full range of banking and personal financial services, from current and savings accounts to term deposits, credit cards, loans for expatriates and nationals, and diverse payment services. Exclusive wealth management packages such as HSBC Premier and Status are available to suit the specific needs of HSBC's most valued customers. Other special banking packages, such as Yasmeen for ladies and HeadStart for children are also available. HSBC also provides individually tailored investment advice through its branch network by qualified Financial Planning Managers.
Mr Cherrill said "I have fond memories of many years spent in the Middle East, but the region has developed considerably even since my last appointment in this region, in Dubai up to 1992. The appetite in these dynamic markets for more sophisticated financial services has developed rapidly. While the competition we face in satisfying this growing demand is fierce, I believe that HSBC is able to provide the best services available anywhere and is in a strong position to achieve a growing market share."
