Major healthcare company receives award

The 2nd Mediterranean Congress on Sexual Dysfunction, which took place in Amman with the participation of 500 Arab and international doctors, ended on June 28th.

During the gala dinner held by the Congress Organising Committee, certificates and awards were distributed to lecturers and sponsors, in particular the main sponsor, Abbott Laboratories, one of the world's leading healthcare companies. The company's Middle East regional office is in Dubai.

Presenting the award, Dr. Mamun Ezzibdeh, President of the Congress said, "Abbott Laboratories' contribution in terms of support and organisation of logistics made a tangible difference to the success of this congress, and we are delighted to recognise their support."

"We are proud to receive this award for sponsoring this major congress," said Omar Abu Sheikha, GM Abbott Levant, who received the award at the gala dinner.

Elie Abdelkarim, General Manager, Abbott Laboratories, Middle East region added, "This sponsorship helps fulfil Abbott's objective mission statement to 'improve lives' and we are delighted to contribute to increasing health standards in society, and especially the Middle East, through sponsoring medical conferences, supporting specialised seminars, and developing healthcare needs in all sectors."
