UAE leadership graduate joins Serco as Director

Having recently graduated from the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Dubai, he will be the first UAE national to be employed by Serco at director level.

Adel Al Awadhi moves to Serco from PCFC where he has worked for the past eight years in various roles within sales, operations and marketing. His most recent position was as head of property for JAFZA. He has also represented the UAE on countless government delegations throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

The new recruit comes hot on the heels of the recent appointment of John Ashcroft who has taken over as Serco Managing Director, Middle East, with a view to building on the company's 40 year business heritage in the region.

Of the new assignment, Al Awadhi said: 'I am very excited to join an international company of such status as Serco. In my previous position I worked closely with its FM subsidiary Serco Gulf, a JV partnership with Istithmar, and have developed a strong respect and understanding of their business practices and attitudes.'

Adel Al Awadhi holds a Stamford diploma. He also holds a marketing degree from Colorado University and an MBA in International Business from the American University in Dubai.
