Global Village Director, Ibrahim Abdul Rahim announced the names of the names of the new pavilions. He said, 'This year we have seven new pavilions which will be featured for the first time at the Global Village. The new pavilions are from Bahrain, France, Hungary, Laos, Romania, Rwanda and also for the first time the pavilion from UAE.'
Abdul Rahim added, 'We would like to welcome the new pavilions to this year's event. The participation of these new pavilions will add further interest and value for the visitors to the Global Village.'
Abdul Rahim said that the Global Village has succeeded in strengthening its position over the years as one of the most popular tourist event especially for families.
Abdulla Hamdan bin Dalmouk, Director of UAE Pavilion said, 'We are delighted to participate in the Global Village activities and get the chance to showcase for the local visitors and tourists from all around the world the Emarati culture and traditional arts.'
He added, 'The UAE pavilion will feature a Gold Souk as UAE is intrinsically connected with gold and jewellery trade both in the past and the present. The Gold Souk will consist of 25 shops displaying all kinds of jwellery. The pavilion will also include retail shops of the leading trading establishments of Dubai. Besides there will be a section especially for the public featuring 100 shops.'
The Director of the UAE pavilion said that there will be daily cultural shows through out the period that Global Village is open showing the traditional performing arts of the country. The UAE pavilion is also designed based on the traditional architecture of UAE.
Eight pre-eminent organisations have come forward to offer their support for Global Village 2005 - 2006 which will open from October 26th, 2005 to 3rd March, 2006. The sponsors include - Emirates Bank; Chevrolet; London Dairy; ABC International Ltd; Pepsi- Dubai Refreshments Company; Cellucom; Americana and Aquafina- Dubai Refreshments Company.

The Global Village has announced the participation of seven new pavilions at the Global Village 2005 -2006 season which will open for visitors from October 26th, 2005.
