Organizational structure of Dubai Metro Dept approved by Dubai Municipality

The Dubai Metro Department has been created to take care of the prestigious Dubai Light Rail Project.
According to the organizational structure approved by the Director General, the Dubai Metro Department consists of three sections: Installations Section, Rail Systems Section and Transport Strategies Section.
In addition, a separate Quality and Support Unit will function directly under the director of the department.
The Director of the Administrative Development and Quality Department is entrusted with the task of preparing the duty specifications for the Dubai Metro Department and submit it to the Director General for approval.
The Director of the Administrative Development and Quality Department, in co-ordination with the Director of Dubai Metro Department, and in consultation with the Assistant Director General of Dubai Municipality for Dubai Metro and Public Transport Affairs, will take the necessary action to implement the decree. The new decree will come into effect from the date of issue.
According to the organizational structure approved by the Director General, the Government Housing Department also consists of three sections: Administrative Services and Social Studies Section, Housing Projects Design Section and Housing Projects Implementation Section.
The Administrative Services and Social Studies Section will comprise of two units: Housing Administration Services Unit and Social Studies Unit.
The Housing Projects Design Section will have two units: Residential Complexes Design Unit and Maintenance Work Design and Residential Alterations Unit.
The Housing Projects Implementation Section will also comprise of two units: Housing Projects Implementation Supervision Unit and Maintenance and Alteration Works Implementation Supervision Unit.
In addition, a separate Quality and Support Unit will function directly under the director of the department.
As per the decree, the officials presently working in the department will be relocated to take up the duty in the approved organizational units.
The Director of Government Housing Department and the Director of Personnel Department, in consultation with the Assistant Director General of Dubai Municipality for Planning and Buildings Affairs, will take the necessary action to implement the decree. The new decree will come into effect from the date of issue.
