Air Arabia, the budget carrier based in Sharjah, says it has carried more than 1.5m passengers in the two years since it started operations. Launched on 28 October 2003 with two aircraft, the airline has become profitable in the current financial year, ahead of its three-year break even target, reported Gulf News.
