The company has plans to display the new model in a series of displays in retail stores across the United Arab Emirates and wider Gulf region.
"The FP202W demonstrates BenQ's ambition to provide products that not only enhance the digital life of our customers, but also blends into people's style of living,"
said Robert Dung, managing director, BenQ Middle East.
"Our line of products for 2006 will break records and set trends in the region, and we anticipate increasing our share of the LCD market significantly over the coming months," he added.
The BenQ FP202W offers enhanced image quality with its ultra-fast 8ms response time, a 1680x1050 high resolution, as well as a 600:1 contrast ratio.
The featured wide-screen design of 43cm in screen width allows the user to display and comfortably read two pages of text side-by-side. At the same time, this format preserves the display of content such as DVD movies and games in their original format without cropping or compression.
The LCD monitor also incorporates a friendly user interface - including a hotkey that allows instant switching between analog and digital signal inputs - as well as a proprietary "Senseye" digital-enhancement technology that automatically improves image quality, adjusts brightness and darkness levels, performs color mapping procedures, and reduces jagged edges on images.
