Leading figures discuss the way forward for the premiership

Some of the top names in English football will discuss the way forward for the Premiership and top flight football in general at Soccerex in Dubai next month.

Chelsea Chief Executive Peter Kenyon, Arsenal and FA Vice-Chairman David Dein, Football League Chairman, Lord Brian Mawhinney and newly appointed FA Premier League Director of Marketing and Sales Richard Masters, will be joined by senior directors from Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus to assess the future of the game against a backdrop of falling attendances, high prices, TV over exposure and so-called 'dull' football.

Premiership attendances are falling - down 3% on last year 1 on a week to week basis - and admission prices are the subject of much debate. TV saturation is another hot topic - in 2004 there were 9,428 hours of football coverage across 16 different channels 1.

These are just a few of the burning issues that will be discussed at next month's Soccerex conference - the business convention for world football.

Some of the biggest names in the world of football and business will be gathered at the football conference which takes place in Dubai in what promises to be the biggest ever meeting of international football minds.

More than 2,000 delegates from the football world will gather for the three day extravaganza to discuss the burning issues in football. The event takes place at the spectacular Madinat Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai from November 13-15.

Soccerex commercial director James Worall said: 'Everyone is talking about the future for top flight football and this promises to be one of the highlights of Soccerex in Dubai with some of the biggest names in world football tackling the issues head on.'

Other confirmed attendees include FIFA, AFC, UEFA, BSkyB. BBC, adidas, Nike, Coca-Cola, Umbro, Microsoft, South African FA, South African Premier League, Bahrain FA, Qatar FA, UAE FA, Al Hilal, Boca Juniors, Kaizer Chiefs, Shaktar Donetsk and Galatasaray.

Soccerex has toured some of the world's greatest cities in recent years including Los Angeles, London and Paris.
