Mona bin Killi, Events Manager at the Dubai Ladies Club said,
'We have received very good response since the courses have been announced and a lot of the seats for the courses are already been filled. In view of the response we have received we will be accepting applications on 'first come first serve basis'.'
She added,'A Computer laboratory has been set up at the Dubai Ladies Club in order to the start Phase One of the training program on the 12th of November 2005. These cources will focus on the basics of Information Technology.'
The IT programme includes a series of courses highlighting basic computer skills, managing files and operating systems. The programme also includes training courses in Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint). These cources well be supervised by a qualified team of IT experts who will adopt simple ways of teaching both the theory and the practical elements of the cources.'
Phase one of the project will include training courses to certify women with international IT qualifications, while the more comprehensive Phase two will comprise training in all the fields and specializations within the study of information technology.
The first course under the Programme is ICDL certified.
