Air Arabia connects Kazakhstan with the UAE

Air Arabia LLC, the first and only low-fares airline in the Middle East and North Africa region, announced plans today to expand its network even further.

Air Arabia announced today that it is now all set to fly to some of the most exciting cities in Central Asia. The first flight to this part of the world will take place on Monday 14th November 2005 when the first ever UAE airline with touch down in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The second city to be connected to the UAE will be Almaty, the commercial hub of Kazakhstan commencing Wednesday 16th November 2005.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, Air Arabia's Chairman said today,
"More people in the UAE have been waiting to take advantage of the low fares that we offer to destinations across the Middle East and North Africa to take them home. We are now expanding our network to Kazakhstan. We would like to thank the Kazakhstan Authorities for granting us rights to fly to both Almaty and Astana and hope that they will see the benefit to their residents and allow us to increase the number of flights."


Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, Air Arabia's Chairman added, "We look forward to growing trade and tourism links between UAE and Kazakhstan and providing the opportunity to expatriates living in the UAE to travel home for the first time or just more often. Air Arabia currently flies from Sharjah to twenty destinations, with more to come: Aleppo and Damascus (Syria); Alexandria, Assiut, Luxor and Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt); Aqaba (Jordan); Bahrain; Beirut (Lebanon); Colombo (Sri Lanka); Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh (KSA), Doha (Qatar); Khartoum (Sudan); Kuwait; Mumbai and Nagpur (India); Muscat (Oman); and Sana'a (Yemen).
