Dr. Al Kaabi has long since supported the development of human resources in the Emirates by providing highly skilled labour with suitable work environments. During the meeting, they discussed how the government today is further aiming to meet the country's technological needs as well as the educational and practical challenges that they face today, with the collaboration of educational institutions. Dr. Al Kaabi stressed that education and training are the basic support systems that get our labour to levels that meet market needs and that provide companies with a competent workforce.

Dr. Al Kaabi was presented with ADU's curriculum and strategic plans that focus heavily on the university's role in developing their students' market skills. "We discussed how ADU does not introduce any curriculum without studying deeply the market needs," said Dr Macpherson. "We aim to provide our students with internships that develop the practical side of education and which re-enforce their capabilities that enhance their own skill set, so eventually our students can benefit and become contributing citizens of the future. We concentrate on focusing on industries such as marketing and promotion, customer service, communication and critical educational thought, all with the ability to enable them to problem solve at the workplace," he added.

"We are honoured to be given the opportunity to make a difference in the development of this country," said Al Dhaheri. "We are working closely with the Ministry of Labour by launching several projects and educational and training projects that aim to enhance the human capital in the UAE that merge together with the market's needs," he added.

Abu Dhabi University has positioned itself as the cradle of international professionalism in the UAE; steadily increasing admissions rate indicate that more and more students, as well as their parents, value ADU's sharp focus on quality, relevance, and its close alignment with Government policies.
