Jazeera Airways, launches its operations with flights to 5 destinations in the Middle East, these being: Dubai, Beirut, Amman, Damascus, Bahrain, and will be adding Alexandria, Luxor and the Indian Subcontinent in the near future. Jazeera Airways flight number J9-16 will be flying daily to Dubai arriving at 21:15 and back to Kuwait on flight J9-17 departing at 22:00.
"Dubai was strategically chosen to be Jazeera Airways' first destination and is one of the most traveled to cities in the region,"
said Marwan Boodai, Chairman and CEO of Jazeera Airways.
"We foresee major traffic to dubai and have scheduled daily flights in order to provide flexibility to frequent travelers."
The airline is the first in the Middle East to give passengers complete control of their travel plans through a variety of booking channels including internet, a call center based in Dubai and local travel agents.
Jazeera Airways is the first privately owned airline in Kuwait and the Middle East. It was established in Kuwait in 2004 as a public shareholding company after the Kuwaiti Government broke the 50 year monopoly, opening the sector for private entrants.
The airline operates brand new Airbus A320 aircraft, maintained by leading international aviation engineering companies. The aircraft is fitted with leather seats comfortably seating 165 passengers, who can enjoy ample leg space and real TV entertainment. Travelers also have the choice of purchasing a wide selection of food and beverages onboard.
According to Boodai, the airline's unique business model enables it to maximize cost efficiency through electronically integrated operations and innovative booking and ticketing systems as well as operating a fleet of single type aircraft. Boodai also stressed on the company's strict safety policies - a commitment that lead them to partner with Lufthansa Technik, one of the leading aircraft maintenance companies. The airline only recruits pilots with a minimum of 5000 hours flight experience.
