Ajman taxis raise fares

Private taxi drivers in Ajman have unilaterally raised fares by Dhs2 without official agreement, reported Gulf News. The action comes as a new fleet of metered cabs is about to launch run by Cars Taxi which has two other fleets in Sharjah and Dubai. Taxi drivers said fuel costs had doubled recently.
