LG's audio components registered sales of US$85 million in the Middle East and Africa in 2004. By focusing on strategic links between home audio-video, car infotainment and mobile audio-video business, LG aims to rank among the top three global players in the digital display and media segment by 2007.

We see an immense growth in the demand for new technology car audio systems such as visual entertainment and hard disk player-recorders to replace conventional systems, particularly with the growing trend among the young population to listen to music while driving,"
said C H Lee, President, LG Electronics Gulf FZE.
All the new models feature sleek designs, aluminum finishes, motorised flip-down faceplates, and hands-free/auxiliary-in options. LG car audio systems support playback of MP3 and WMA audio files and using an USB stick, music files can be conveniently transferred from a personal computer to the car audio system.
