After detailed briefings on the Chevrolet Caprice powertrain, including comparison testing against its major competitors, the fleet customers spent time on the GM Holden proving grounds where they were given demonstrations on the Caprice ride & handling and the research and development done on site into crash testing, showing the technology used in vehicle and occupant safety features.

The fleet customers on the trip represented police forces, government ministries and car rental companies from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain.

"The customers we had on this visit represent a combined fleet of well in excess of 75,000 units," commented Muneer Alhasan, Regional Fleet Sales Manager, General Motors Middle East who accompanied the group on its trip to Australia. "The Chevrolet Lumina and Caprice are two of our biggest selling fleet models and this visit gave us an ideal opportunity to demonstrate why they are the number one choices for many fleet operators in the region.

"In addition to visits to GM facilities around the world like this one in Australia, GM has recently introduced the Fleet Excellence Standards Program, tailored retailer financing plans, competitive pricing, increased parts availability and aftersales support to ensure that we meet and exceed fleet customer expectations," he added.
