Total Wellness Resort to offer luxury health farm experience at Dubailand

A group of UAE promoters have come up with a new-concept 'Total Wellness Resort' that will be built at the region's premier lifestyle and leisure community at Dubailand.

'Dubailand is not only going to be a major tourism and entertainment centre, but it will be a city defining a new leisure lifestyle,' said Salem bin Dasmal, Chief Executive Officer of Dubailand.

'One of the key elements of any good world-class leisure and lifestyle centre is to offer the best in 'total wellness solutions'. The concept that has been promoted by a group of reputed business houses in the UAE and will be a valuable facet of the overall unique offering of Dubailand - for both residents and visitors,' said bin Dasmal.

The Dubailand CEO signed the agreement to set up the total wellness resort with Qasim Mohammed who leads the group of promoters. They include Global Realty Partners, Cinnovation Group and Bhatia Contracting Company.

'Given the demands of the health conscious, against the backdrop of a city constantly on the move, we thought of creating the unique concept of a Total Wellness Resort or a Health Farm in Dubailand. This resort is envisaged as an ideal retreat to cater to all the Health and Fitness needs for residents and visitors to the UAE,'



said Qasim Mohammed.

He explained that the wellness resort will be akin to the famous Chiva-som Luxury Health Resort in Thailand, but adapted to the needs and requirements of the Gulf. 'It will boast of Therapy Centres, Sports Facilities, a full fledged Hotel Resort along with chalets and serviced apartments'.

Ideal place

'The Wellness Resort will be an ideal place whether you just need time away, desire a change, want to unwind or kick-start a healthier lifestyle. It will have something for everyone. The unique blend of traditional and advanced therapies will ensure that the visitors can leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. Long term leases for Dubai residents will also be offered,' the leading promoter said.

One of the promoters also has a joint venture with The Taj Group of Hotels of India called Taj Asia Limited. The joint venture owns and operates Taj Exotica Resort and Spa Maldives, Taj Coral Reef Resort Maldives, Taj Samudra Colombo and Reebok Island Langkawi. Taj Asia Limited is now in the process of setting up top-end boutique resorts and luxury properties in Bali and Phuket.

'The expertise gained from the joint venture by one our partners will be applied to develop a truly unique experience at the Total Wellness Destination,' said Qasim Mohammed.
