"We expect a massive number of people on the opening day of these two major attractions," said Phil McArthur, Director of Leasing & Marketing, Dubai Festival City. "These two new facilities are the world's largest Toyota showroom and the UAE's largest IKEA 'destination' store, and so will likely cause quite a stir."
Due to the logistical enormity of the launches, Dubai Festival City has been working round-the-clock to ensure that all elements have been carefully planned.
"We have been developing the logistics of this for sometime and have been working very closely with our development teams, Dubai Municipality and Dubai Transport to make sure that the openings run smoothly and without mishap,"
added McArthur.
Over 3,000 parking spaces have been opened up to accommodate the massive influx of customers. Dubai Festival City has also allocated four entry and exit points and 300 parking bays for taxis. Directional signs around the development are backed up by a ground staff team to ensure that all drivers and customers reach their intended destination without delay.
In addition, Dubai Festival City will be conducting a complete briefing for taxi drivers to educate them about its facilities, road networks, dedicated parking bays and drop off points.
To build public awareness of the openings, Dubai Festival City is running an intense outdoor print and advertising campaign with IKEA and Toyota.
