He noted that the liberalisation of the telecommunication market has provided unlimited opportunities to the incumbent and new operators worldwide. Focus is shifting to increase revenues while at the same time to reduce expenses. Broadband technologies are one of the major initiatives as they can provide all present and future services on a single platform.
He said:
“Our aim is to explain and highlight technical and business issues related to broadband, therefore we are pleased to announce this conference.”
According to Dr. Doaa, various topics will be addressed during the two days conference including the current status of broadband, technologies and services of broadband networks.
The conference will focus on emerging technologies, marketing strategies and the future vision of what lies beyond broadband.
Industry leaders and operators like Motorola, Lucent Technology, Huawei, Ericsson and Alcatel, will share their experiences in technologies and services to date.
