No bird flu in chicken deaths

Saudi's Ministry of Agriculture has denied media reports of an outbreak of bird flu in the southern part of the country, after veterinarians ruled out the virus as the cause of death in chickens on a farm in Surat Obaida, reported Arab News. The deputy minister said the birds might have died of Newcastle fever, a viral disease which affects birds.
