This announcement comes after Saraya Aqaba convened its fourth extraordinary general assembly meeting on Sunday October 30, 2005 at Le Royal Hotel, Amman, which saw the attendance of over 95% of the shareholders.
The meeting was headed by Mr. Ali Kolaghassi, CEO and Board Member of Saraya Aqaba. "I would like to thank all those who attended the fourth general assembly elections and congratulate the newly elected Saraya Aqaba board members. We are certain that the positive results will benefit and strengthen the pool of expertise on the project board."
Saraya Aqaba's Board of Directors currently consists of the following members: Three seats for Saraya Jordan (represented by Sheikh Saad Hariri 'Chairman of the Board', Mr. Ali Kolaghassi and Mr. Samer Mouasher), two seats for the Social Security Corporation (represented by Dr. Khaled Al-Wazani and Mr. Mohamed Adeinat), one seat for Arab Bank (represented by Mr. Salim Nazzal), one seat for Aqaba Development Corporation (represented by Mr. Imad Fakhoury), one seat for the EFB Brokerage and Investment Company (represented by Mr. Abdul Raouf Bitar) and one seat for Dubai International Capital (represented HE Mr. Samir Rifai). The new Board of Directors is expected to convene in the near future.
