The first flight is scheduled for 7:00 a.m., the second for 20:00 p.m. The flight lasts 75 minutes.

With the new flight schedule, the airline is boosting connection between Aqaba and its Special Economic Zone with the world. It also provides effective and quick air transport, and bolsters businessmen's and investors' transportation to and from Aqaba Special Economic Zone.

Moreover, the two daily flights make it possible for Jordanians and businessmen to conduct a round trip on the some day.

RJ has in plan to transfer Royal Wings' domestic and regional operations from Amman Civil Airport, to Royal Jordanian, at Queen Alia International Airport. This will make it easier for passengers on long-haul flights to use regional jets form QAIA and fly more easily to RJ's regional destinations which include Aqaba, Sharm El Sheikh, Tel Aviv, Al Arish, Alexandria, Damascus and Aleppo.

On Oct. 28, 2005, a new Bombardier Q400 joined RJ's fleet. Royal Jordanian added the 74-passenger turboprop aircraft to operate on short-haul routes alongside its Dash-8 and Dash-4, which Royal Wings used to operate. Royal Wings, an RJ subsidiary company, is now dedicated to charter business operating from the Amman Civil Airport in Marka.
