"The BenQ DC C500 is an exciting addition to the digital camera market and we are looking to promote it heavily in the coming months," said Robert Dung, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East.
"Design, picture quality and portability are key attributes in the digital camera market, and - through the use of BenQ's advanced image technical - this model scores highly in this area,"
he added.
The company has high hopes for expanding its share of the digital camera market with this new release, which has received positive reviews from camera enthusiasts and holiday snappers alike.
The BenQ DC C500 comes with a 5MP CCD Resolution and a fixed-focus lens and offers a smart photo-editing function including trimming, resizing, rotation, color filter and movie editing - which can be done via the touch of a button instead of a computer.
BenQ recorded strong sales of its advanced cameras for 2005, and senior executives have expressed confidence that, with the launch of the C500, BenQ will capture a majority share of this highly competitive market in 2006.
The launch of the C500 comes at the end of another successful year of trading for BenQ, which has not only witnessed a major product growth but also the company's 64th international design award.
"BenQ is pleased to be extending its range of digital technology to the UAE consumer," concluded Dung.
