The disk-based FibreCAT N40-DPM solution is an ideal data backup for Windows file servers permitting end users to personally recover lost files and providing virtually continuous data protection.

Subsequently, on file changes are logged and replicated at byte level in so-called "snapshots." The end user decides whether to take the snapshots every hour or once a day.

"Since this allows the data to be backed up more or less continuously, backup windows become a thing of the past. What's more, the near-continuous data protection also eliminates the risk of losing a whole day's data. In the worst case, an hour's data will be lost," added Deepchandani.
