"The conference is a highly important event, and top officials and executives from the UAE and other regional countries expect it to come up with major announcements directing impacting on the future role of the ACAC and cooperation on aviation security among the three organisations; ICAO, ACAC and AACO",
said Mohammed Ghanim Al Ghaith, the Director General of General Civil Aviation Authority.
Mr. Al Ghaith said top Arab, regional and international aviation security experts will participate in the high-profile conference. He revealed that a declaration on pan-Arab cooperation in aviation security would be announced. The declaration is aimed at providing a framework for development and enhancing the performance of the aviation industry in the Arab region, he explained.
"The General Civil Aviation Authority is seeking to bolster cooperation channels and initiatives among the various aviation security agencies in the region and beyond. This is a serious effort that will have positive impact on the aviation industry as a whole", said Al Ghaith.
"The conference will lay strong foundations for regional and international synergy, by setting a pan-Arab cooperation plan in motion" added Mr. Al Ghaith. He says such a plan is needed to raise the professional standards of aviation security officials and provide a platform for interaction among specialists in the field to develop this crucial aspect of the region's air transport industry. It will also enhance the role in Arab countries in boosting world aviation security and bolstering their credibility internationally.
