Jazeera Airways launched the new destinations after receiving yesterday its second brand new Airbus A320 from Airbus. With its recent fleet expansion, the airline expanded its network to cover five destinations in total in the Middle East, these being: Dubai, Beirut, Amman, Damascus, Bahrain. The airline also has plans to begin flying to Alexandria, Luxor and the Indian Subcontinent in the near future.
'We have identified priority destinations in the area and are expanding our network according to customer demand,' said Boodai.
The airline is open for booking and payment 24 hours a day through its website jazeeraairways.com, ultimately giving more freedom to travellers to book and pay when they want.
Jazeera Airways is also the first in the Middle East to give passengers complete control of their travel plans through a variety of booking channels including internet, a call centre, sms (only available in Kuwait), and local travel agents.
'Families can now unite with their relatives across the Arab world, and business executives are able to fly more frequently thanks to our various methods of booking and payment,' said Boodai.
'The concept of giving more power to the traveller, although new, was very well received by the Arab communities and people flying to and from Kuwait. We feel privileged to be a part of this growing industry and we will continue to expand our network and refining our services with the aim of empowering travellers across the region by offering a flexible and affordable method of travel,'
added Boodai.
Jazeera Airways is the first privately owned airline in Kuwait and the Middle East. It was established in Kuwait in 2004 as a public shareholding company after the Kuwaiti Government broke the 50 year monopoly, opening the aviation sector for private entrants.
The airline operates its own brand new Airbus A320 aircraft, maintained by leading international aviation engineering companies. The aircraft is fitted with leather seats comfortably seating 165 passengers, who can enjoy ample leg space and real TV entertainment. Travellers also have the choice of purchasing a wide selection of food and beverages onboard.
According to Boodai, the airline's unique business model enables it to maximize cost efficiency through electronically integrated operations and innovative booking and ticketing systems as well as operating a fleet of single type aircraft. Boodai also stressed on the company's strict safety policies - a commitment that lead them to partner with Lufthansa Technik, one of the leading aircraft maintenance companies in the world. Furthermore, the airline only recruits pilots with a minimum of 5000 hours flight experience.
