Citibank NRI business brings Lee Kuan Yew to Dubai

Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore's first Prime Minister who is widely sought after for his insights on emerging global trends and developments, will visit Dubai this month as the inaugural speaker in Citibank Legacies of Leadership series.

Citibank Legacies of Leadership is a new Asian speaker series featuring prominent world leaders respected for their vision and invaluable contributions to society. It provides Citibank customers with the unique opportunity to hear these distinguished speakers share their reflections on life and the legacies they hope to leave.

During Minister Mentor Lee's visit, he will address Citibank NRI customers and share his personal views on leadership and legacies. This series has already seen similar events in Hong Kong and Singapore and it will also be held in Korea over the next 12 months.

Minister Mentor Lee is credited with turning Singapore from a trading port into a financial and industrial powerhouse. His first achievement was in 1965 when he, as the country's first Prime Minister, successfully led Singapore to independence following its breakaway from Malaysia. Mr. Lee stepped down in 1990, successfully managing a peaceful transition of power to Singapore's younger generation of leaders.
