Centro and Fun Ahoy join Al Manshar as Anchors

Tamdeen SCD, a property management company specialized in the development, leasing and management of shopping centres, have signed with CENTRO, a new division of Al Andalus Trading Company and the Portfolio Holdings' new amusement centre 'FUN AHOY'.

Joining Villa Moda as the Anchors of Al Manshar shopping centre, the three combined will occupy a total of 6,620 square meters and are planned to open in the first quarter of 2006.

CENTRO, the Electronics Super Centre, a new division of Al Andalus Trading Company is a multi-brand retailer focusing on providing high quality services and the latest in technology at competitive prices. The new concept store is specially designed to provide visitors with an easy and enjoyable shopping experience, and is Wi-Fi enabled, affording customers the option of logging on from the hotspot while they shop.

Al Manshar Shopping Centre will also feature the unique and exquisitely themed family entertainment centre 'FUN AHOY'. The family amusement centre is set on board a traditional Arabian Dow called 'Boom Al Marah', or 'The Dow of Fun' and will be one of the largest entertainment and amusement centres in Kuwait.

Designed by ASI - Total Leisure Solutions, the focus of FUN AHOY plays on a legendary tale of adventure and discovery. Featuring a mix of family rides, unique attractions and games for all age groups, FUN AHOY ensures that both the young and the young at heart enjoy all the facilities.

'Madinat Fahaheel', owned by Tamdeen Real Estate Company and managed by Tamdeen SCD, includes Al Manshar Shopping Centre, Al Kout Shopping Centre, Fahaheel Waterfront Project, Al-Manshar Towers and Comples, and office tower, a multi-purpose hall and the five star Rotana Hotel. About Tamdeen Shopping Centre Development
A subsidiary of Tamdeen Real Estate Company (KSE:TAM), Tamdeen Shopping Centre Development is a closed shareholding company established in March 2005 with a capital of KD30 million (USD103 million) as a company specialized in the development, leasing and management of shopping centres.

Current operations include the management and potential re-development of the highly successful Al Fanar Shopping Centre in Salmiya. Other operations include the Al Fahaheel Waterfront Project (also called the Al Kout Shopping Centre), and is currently redeveloping the neighboring Al Manshar Towers and Complex. Together both developments will help the company develop the town center of Al Fahaheel into a multi-phased project called 'Madinat Al Fahaheel'. This town centre would become one of the largest mixed use developments in Kuwait with a footprint of over 300,000 square meters.

In addition, the company will actively pursue new locations to create different types of mall formats across Kuwait. The cornerstone for each project will be to create shopping centres that become a meeting point for the community and surpass every consumer expectation. The company is also developing two new mega shopping centres are in the final stages of design development. The first is entitled '360o Kuwait' located in South Surra and will have a gross leasable area (GLA) of around 60,000 square meters. Construction on the project will begin shortly and is expected to be complete by late 2007. The second mega mall is named 'The Mall of Kuwait' with a massive GLA of 130,000 square meters. This is located in Sabahiya and will open its doors to the public in 2008.
