  • PRESS RELEASE

In February of this year, the worldwide Pilatus PC-12 fleet passed a service milestone by logging it's one-millionth flight hour in operation, the sum flight hour contribution of more than 500 private owners, corporations, regional airlines, air ambulance operators, government agencies and charter companies around the world who continue to rely upon this highly versatile aircraft.

Today there are nearly 600 PC-12 aircraft in operation across the globe.

The combination of a single 1,200 horsepower Pratt & Whitney PT6A series turboprop engine and an aerodynamically advanced airframe has turned the multirole PC-12 into one of the world's top selling turbine powered aircraft in it's class. The aircraft's speed, range, cabin and utility have all contributed to it's popularity, but safety, reliability and low operating costs have proved the PC-12's real success story, satisfying the basic needs of both private owners and commercial operators.

With worldwide orders for 2005 surpassing previous years' records, ExecuJet sees growing demand for this aircraft in the region. "The PC-12 really meets the needs of a key segment of executive travelers and service providers in this region. A high percentage of the PC-12's already sold worldwide have been delivered in the 6-seat executive configuration, which still allows for easy seat removal to turn the aircraft into a pure cargo carrier or a very comfortable carrier of a mix of both passengers and cargo while maintaining the executive club-4 seating arrangement" says Mike Berry, ExecuJet Middle East Managing Director.

Berry continued

"With its combination of interior luxury and workhorse performance the PC-12 is perfectly designed for Middle East operations. Able to operate in hot-and-high conditions and certified to land on unpaved airfields this attractively priced aircraft, coupled with low operating costs, makes the PC-12 a very viable air transportation solutions proposition."

The aircraft comes in a series of configurations to suit the operator's requirements. All aircraft have a forward lavatory and large rear cargo door, and apart from the VIP 6-seat club configuration, the aircraft can be purchased as a 9-seat commuter. In medevac configuration, the PC-12 is extremely popular with air ambulance operators such as Australia's Royal Flying Doctor service and South African Red Cross.

"It's difficult to put a price on this level of versatility", concludes Berry, "it fulfils flight department needs to the fullest."

ExecuJet is proud of its Pilatus Center status and exclusive PC-12 sales and support franchise in the Middle East and, in collaboration with Pilatus, will showcase this very popular turboprop aircraft at Dubai's 9th International Aerospace Exhibition, 'Dubai 2005', the region's largest aerospace exhibition and air show, and taking place this year from 20 - 24 November at Dubai International Airport. The PC-12 will be on static display just in front of the West Hall at the Airport Expo, and ExecuJet and Pilatus sales and flight personnel will be on hand to discuss any aspects of PC-12 ownership or operation.
