Within the entire student population of DAA, 455 students who study French as a language will have access to these books to develop and practice their French language skills. The books also support the French curriculum offered in the school and compliment students' learning plan.

"We are most thankful to the French Embassy for their generous offer of French language books to our school. This will further encourage our students to improve their French language skills as well as extend the resources in our internal library",

said Dan E. Young, Superintendent, Dubai American Academy.

The French Embassy aims to elevate the level of French in the UAE and to offer schools a chance to expand their French library collection. These books were specially shipped in from France with the help of the Ministry of Education in UAE, Biblionef-a non-governmental body, the French Consulate and Alliance Francaise, Dubai.

"We are impressed with DAA students' level of proficiency in French and are delighted to give a collection of French language books to DAA. This will further strengthen the French educational resources at the school and raise the level of interest in French language among students in the country" said Philippe Mallein, French Inspector, French Embassy and UAE Ministry of Education.

The books compliment the values and culture of UAE and are available for all students at the school.
