'The key purpose of signing with (SVTI) is to facilitate latest technology transfer to the region; the main aim for which General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum initiated Dubai Silicon Oasis.'
'We also look forward to take advantage of the advanced programs (SVTI) has in Electronic Design Automation, Semiconductor and Device Technology & Manufacturing, Communications, Computing and Quality etc.'
'I believe this will be the first strong step towards creating microelectronic national professionals who would be able to lead the technology industry in the country and beyond,' added Dr Al Zarouni.
Dr Eesa Bastaki, Director, Technology & Development, DSO who signed the MoU with Dr Ali Iranmanesh, President & CEO SVTI said, 'The training programs provided by SVTI are advanced technical seminars, workshops and short courses targeting the needs and requirements of DSO.'
He added that the new programs will also leverage the DSO's initiative to provide UAE educational institutions and universities with Design Automation solutions, and hands-on microelectronics training.
'Our role will be promoting the programs in the UAE and the region and attract the right people in the industry, said Dr Bastaki. The benefits of such programs are immeasurable to all the professionals in the field helping them to update their knowledge.
Dr Ali Iranmanesh , said, ' These programs are designed to meet the dynamic and evolving needs of professionals in the Semiconductors Industry and to upgrade their knowledge in the latest technological development.'
'The Silicon Valley Technical Institute is for the first time launching these training programs in the region,' said Dr Iranmanesh.
'We are quite convinced that Dubai Silicon Oasis is the right venue to introduce these highly sophisticated programs to the entire region, he added. 'Our cooperation with DSO will continue for the mutual benefits of all parties for now and well into the future, concluded Dr Iranmanesh.
