Emirates Glass showcases products made from its state-of-the-art equipment at Big 5

Emirates Glass, a Dubai Investment subsidiary, showcased its premium glass products made from its state-of-the-art machinery, the water jet and the tempering furnace, which evinced keen interest among the trade visitors and industry professionals at the Big5, the region's largest show for the construction sector.

The company has A 50-square meter two-story stand on Hall 8 (A8-434) of the exhibition at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

"Emirates Glass is going from strength to strength, expanding its activities throughout the region and globally, riding on the sheer standard of its world class premium products. Our state-of-the-art equipment and the support of out Mother Company enable us in maintaining our leading position in the regional and international markets," said Mr. Jerry Dowling, General Manager, Emirates Glass.

During the last quarter of 2004, an ultra-modern Lisec automatic glass-cutting table, a second Lisec double glazing line equipped with the latest edge deletion facility and an upgrade of sealing robot and a Schiatti double-edger and four-holed drilling station were installed and commissioned and now running at full swing. The company's force convection furnace is recognized as the largest tempering furnace in the world.

The company commissioned the three new state-of-the-art machinery and the force convection furnace at a total cost of AED16 million.
The commissioning of such formidable equipment helped Emirates Glass in meeting its targets and guarantee continuous and highest professional service to its clients and meet delivery schedules.

Emirates Glass' high-performance EmiCool, EmiCool Plus and EmiCool Sun glass types have a product code which acts as a shorthand description of the colour of the coating, the colour of the substrate glass and the nominal percentage of visible light transmittance. EmiCool's durable, transparent metallic coatings are applied directly to float glass substrates using Leybold's Magnetic Sputter Vacuum Deposit (MSVD) technology.
