As guest international speaker at the annual South American duty-free association conference (ASUTIL) held last month in Rio de Janeiro, Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free provided delegates with a first-hand look at the phenomenal growth and development of Dubai and the duty free operation.
Mr. McLoughlin's presentation provided an overview of the U.A.E. and the growth of Dubai over the past 30 years. Positioning Dubai as a modern day success story, the presentation showcased some of the ambitious projects in the private and public sector that would ensure Dubai's undisputed reputation as a top business and leisure destination. The presentation also underlined the success of the duty free operation and the pivotal role it plays in the overall promotion of Dubai worldwide.
"The delegates were genuinely interested in the past, present and future of Dubai and were impressed with the level of support and enthusiasm that is provided by the Government of Dubai," says Colm McLoughlin.
Martin Moodie, Publisher and Managing Director of Duty Free News International added: "This was a tremendous upbeat presentation and definitely one of the highlights of the first day. For many delegates who had limited knowledge of the region, Colm McLoughlin's speech was enlightening and an education."
