Batelco launches two-way prepaid roaming service

The 5 operators are:
Mobily - K.S.A
Qtel - Qatar
Wataniya - Kuwait
MobiNil - Eygpt
Maroc Telecom (IAM) - Morocco

Batelco is in progress to launch the service with more destinations in GCC and other region

Batelco's SimSim and SimSim Shabab Customers, who currently benefit from the one-way global roaming service, will now be able to make calls in addition to receive calls while roaming in the aforesaid destinations - thanks to the new two-way roaming facility.

"The new service will enable our SimSim customers to send and receive calls while roaming in the above mentioned destinations. However, customers will continue to receive calls only while roaming in all the other destinations," says Ahmed Al Janahi, Head of Corporate Affairs at Batelco.

"Batelco will continue to expand its global reach to enable simsim customers to benefit from full roaming services while travelling in any country worldwide,"

he continues.

To avoid possible call disconnection, customers are advised to have sufficient credit in their account to make or receive calls while roaming in those geographies. However, customers can still refill their prepaid accounts while they are travelling abroad through any of the following options:

1. Using a Physical voucher:
• Key in *125* 13 digit voucher number # Send, if the other roaming partner supports USSD service.

2. Helpdesk (+97339611196):
• Agent: using credit card.
• IVR: using credit card.

3. Online:
• Visit www.Batelco.com and refill the account by using credit card.

4. Banks:
• Refill by calling hotline in BBK (17214444) , NBB (17214433), Al Shamel (17585050) and Al Ahli (17221999).

Batelco has recently introduced a number of innovative initiatives aimed at keeping customers in constant touch all the time wherever they are, thus enhancing their experience. These initiatives included the launch of 123Call service, smart payphones, roaming with more international destinations, etc.
