He returns to the Middle East to take over from David Glorius who has moved to DaimlerChrysler Canada where he will be Zone Manager for the Atlantic Region.

Ohms was Regional Manager for Chrysler International in Dubai before the company's merger with Daimler-Benz in 1999. He joined the Chrysler Corporation in 1976 as District Manager in Indiana and held various management posts across the USA before moving to Dubai in 1993.

In 1995 he transfered to Argentina as Regional Manager for Chrysler before spending two years at the company's Detroit headquarters. For the last two years he has worked as Senor Manager, Sales Operations, for DaimlerChrysler Overseas in Stuttgart, Germany.

"It's great to be back in the Middle East and particularly Dubai where I have so many happy memories and I am looking forward to catching up old friends," said Ohms.

"My objective is to ensure that we help our general distributors across the region maximise retail and fleet opportunities. Despite a flat market, there's never been a better time to get behind the wheel of an award-wining Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicle."
