Emirates Glass wins major supply contract for Palm Jumeirah

The deal was announced during the company's participation in the prestigious Big 5 show, the largest annual venue for the entire Middle-East glass contracting industry. The company will begin delivery of its EmiCool Sun Gray/Bronze to the prestigious development by the end of this month. The supply contract will be executed in four months' time.

"This is another illustration of our ability to deliver world class premium products within the stipulated time frame of a project. This was made possible by the state-of-the-art machinery and equipment installed at our facility at a cost of more than AED16 million. We are sure this major Palm Jumeirah contract is just another example for our quality and time management," said Mr. Jerry Dowling, Managing Director, Emirates Glass.

This is the second time the company has won the single biggest glass supply contract during the Big 5. Last year, Emirates Glass won the 100,000 square meter contract to supply its revolutionary EmiCool products to the massive construction of forty towers at the celebrated Jumeirah Beach Residence development.

Besides the local and regional projects, the company is also looking at international deals. Currently the company is in negotiations for the supply of 14,000 square meters of its glass products to two international projects - one in the UK and another one in Singapore.

Emirates Glass recently, executed contracts for the supply of more than 67,000 square meters of its products to 10 important regional projects - 42,000 square meters of glass for seven projects in Kuwait and 25,000 square meters of glass for three projects in Qatar.

The company is also in negotiations with various developers in Kuwait for the supply of an additional 40,000 square meters of its premium glass products.

"These contracts will reiterate the status of Emirates Glass in the regional and international market place where it has already been gaining in reputation over the past few years,"

said Mr. Dowling.

Emirates Glass has also expanded its distribution network by appointing new agents in Iraq, Bangladesh, Jordan and Iran. In fact the company has already started delivering glass to these new areas.
