H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Education, UAE, yesterday (Wednesday, November 16, 2005), inaugurated the debut edition of Global Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX), Abu Dhabi, the Middle East region's largest education fair, at the Rotana Beach Hotel & Towers, in the presence of Ambassadors of several countries.

The education fair is being organised by IC&E and will go on till November 18th.

GETEX Abu Dhabi has attracted more than 100 leading educational institutions from 10 countries around the world. The event is also expected to draw thousands of students, teachers, parents and educational professionals during the three days of the fair. A host of leading colleges and universities from the United Kingdom, Canada, U.S.A, Australia, India and the Middle East region are taking part in GETEX Abu Dhabi to promote a range of high quality academic courses.

The exhibition brings special focus on Higher Education courses such as MBA, Human Resource Management, IT and e-Learning and Medical education, amongst others. GETEX Abu Dhabi also highlights new methods of study including real time e-learning solutions that will be promoted by various exhibitors.

GETEX Abu Dhabi also features a number of Seminars and Workshops, covering areas like; learning styles and choices, career guidance tools, general educational information and career trends. Further, a team of counsellors are available during GETEX to meet with students, teachers and parents attending the event, to discuss various academic and career choices for students and other related aspects.

The Global Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) is the largest education fair in the Middle East region. Organised by International Conferences & Exhibitions (IC&E), GETEX held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Education as well as the support of Dubai Knowledge Village, the region's biggest ensemble of institutes of higher education, and the British Council in Dubai.
