The new facility, located in Tunis, will employ ten people responsible for managing relationships with Nokia's customers in the country and providing them with consulting services and technical assistance.

"The mobile subscriber growth rate in the Middle East and Africa is one of the highest in the world," says Dr. Walid Moneimne, Senior Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Networks, Nokia.
"There are currently 2 billion mobile phone subscribers worldwide and we expect that by 2010 this number will have reached 3 billion. We are expanding across the Middle East and Africa to meet the demands of this growth and share Nokia's strong experience and state-of-the-art products and solutions with our customers,"
added Dr. Moneimne.

Nokia is well positioned to capitalize on this growth with its localization strategy and commitment to bringing resources, people and products to where they best serve customers.

"Our commitment to our customers has made Nokia a leading mobility company. This commitment and leadership is illustrated by our comprehensive and ever-growing product portfolio for operators and consumers, our extensive research and development, and our ability to move rapidly to meet demand," continues Dr. Moneimne.
