According to Serdar Yalcin, regional sales consultant for Novell, DirXML is the only software in the market today that allows large businesses to overcome communication barriers faced in heterogeneous technology environments. "When a business is running on various operating systems, various databases and various applications, the major obstacle is to let these systems talk to each other in real time. DirXML is uniquely positioned to render the communication across platforms seamless.".

Sathya Murthy, Novell product specialist at Tech Data said: "With the release of DirXML, Novell brings a technology that boosts the profitability of its business partners and customers alike." He continues: "From a client perspective, especially in large organizations, getting systems to talk to each other is a bottleneck that pushes management to invest in a completely new technology platform. DirXML calls off these investments." DirXML is available for Novell's business partners through Tech Data. Rod Barclay, regional channel manager at Novell Middle East adds:" Our clients in the Middle East will find in DirXML a renewal of Novell's commitment to ensuring access to the right information at the right time."

A network operations executive from Zayed University said that compared to other solutions designed to perform data synchronization, Novell's new launch is event driven, rather then periodical and a lot faster compared to other similar software. She explained that DirXML is very good especially if you are an institution already running on various applications and databases, want to overcome the complexity involved in either synchronizing those systems, incurring large costs, and yet continue to be efficient. "For example, if your business runs on a Microsoft platform, using Oracle applications and IBM web-based servers, DirXML allows all these to communicate instantly when data is entered into the system."

Anish Ashar, assistant wide area network manager of Gulf Agency company, confirmed: "Novell is still delivering great products and every time, it is one step further towards making technology easier and faster to use."

Hazem Bayado, technical director at Novell Middle East ended saying: "The result of this event showed that Novell still is the leader in enterprise computing and that the Net Business Solutions model that we adopted three years ago makes sense to all business big or small."
