Swift Group 2002 AGM to be held in Nairobi

The Swift Group will be hosting its 2002 Annual General Meeting in Nairobi this year, scheduled from the 26th to the 28th of July.

Over 50 executives from 17 countries will attend the Annual General Meeting, which will be hosted by Swift Freight International (Kenya) Ltd. The AGM will last for 3 days and will be followed by intensive HR and Finance workshops thus extending it to a 5-day event.

The meeting, an annual event, offers a unique opportunity for the Swift Group management from 32 Swift offices to meet and discuss current issues and future strategies. Swift Group Senior Management met recently in Nairobi on the 25th of June to finalise details for the AGM and announced that the event will be conducted under the theme ' Ethics & Leadership in Swift' and has been designed to be a 'well-balanced mix of presentations and workshops, with ample time for 1 to 1 meetings'. The much anticipated Awards Night will be held on the 27th July, where besides numerous awards for individual achievement the award for the Most Enterprising Office in the Swift Group will also be announced. This year's AGM host office - Swift Freight International Kenya Ltd. was established in 1996 and is one of 19 Swift offices in Africa which give the group a formidable presence in the continent.
