Qatar students get boost from Acer Technology

Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. today announced that its Doha-based authorized channel partner, Qatar Computer Services (QCS), have further strengthened their relationship with the country's Ministry of Education (MOE) by catering to an additional need of 1000 advanced, state-of-the-art Acer Veriton PCs and related services to all Qatar government schools.
The MOE initiative will be phased-in over the next three months, with Acer and QCS acting as major suppliers to the Qatar government.
Qatar Computer Services's Role
To ensure optimum use of the acquired Acer solution, QCS will provide all government schools with world-class after-sales services and whatever training ascertained as necessary.
"Qatar's MOE selected Acer technology over other well known computing brands because of the solid reputation Acer enjoys for its development of state-of-the-art, price-competitive, and reliable computing solutions for the educational sector globally, as well as the Middle East market" said A.K. Suresh Babu, General Manager- Qatar Computer Services (QCS).
The Acer Veriton 5200D systems selected by the MOE are perfectly suited to various educational usage in today's Internet-connected learning environment.
"As evidenced by its ongoing relationship with Qatar's MOE, Acer is rapidly acquiring market share in the educational sector in the Middle East, and in the Qatar market in particular," said S. Raghu, Country sales manager, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd.
