AUST Network Symposium on Auditing & Accounting

Ajman University of Science and Technology Network is organizing an approach symposium on the growing significance of auditing and accounting as a profession in the UAE.

The symposium will be held on Saturday, November 26, at the university's multi-purpose convention hall in Al Jurf.

The symposium will discuss various issues, including the legal framework of the accounting and auditing profession, and the role of Auditing and Accounting Association in developing and improving performance.

Prominent figures and accounting experts will participate in the symposium, including Dr. Al Khader Ali Mousa of the AUST Network accounting office, and Dr. Lilyan Ghaiath Al Deen, of AUST Network

Dr Mohammed Al Shami, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, AUST Network, said,
" The symposium will focus on the norms that govern the accounting profession in the UAE. The impact of commercial law 1993 will also be discussed."


"Other issues include the impact of UAE Securities & Commodities Corporation law of 2000 that enforces quarterly financial transparency of joint stock companies."

He spoke of the role and positive impact that regional NOCs like the GCC Accounting & Auditing Association have on the profession and its operations. The symposium will conclude its sessions by discussing the law 1995 issued to establish the UAE Accounting and Auditing Association.
