Samsung wows consumers at 'Big-5 show' in Dubai

Samsung Electronics, the world leader in digital technology, display of the best-of-breed home appliances range received an overwhelming response from consumers at the Big-5 show in Dubai.

Showcased at the Samsung stall were appliances integrated with silver nanotechnology to block bacteria and fungi from infecting home and office environments and the UTR (Ultra Tropical Rotary) compressor built-in air conditioner that can provide optimal indoor cooling even at temperatures of up to 60dg.

Mr. Sanjay Gajamer, Senior Manager, Home Appliances division, Samsung Gulf Electronics said:

At the Big-5 show Samsung showcased a range of health conscious refrigerators, washing machines, air-conditioners equipped with silver nanotechnology. Samsung has applied the sophisticated nanotechnology to develop a sterilizing function in its home appliances, removing 99.9 per cent of the two harmful microorganisms, Staphylococci and Escherichiacoli.

The Big 5 show is another avenue to highlight the technological progress made by the Samsung brand over the years. Samsung Electronics, the regional and global leader in digital convergence technology, has been once again recognised as the most valuable brand in the world. According to the recent BusinessWeek magazine and Interbrand Consultancy's annual survey of the top 100 global brands, Samsung has now become the world's No1 consumer electronics brand with the brand valued at US$14.9 billion.
