- Cyprus: Thursday, November 17 - 2005 at 10:06
- PRESS RELEASE
interFRONTIERS, NEC Computers' Business Development partner in Mediterranean, Middle East and (English speaking) Africa recently hosted a special regional partners' conference for NEC Computers' key partners from its region.
One of the key strategies for NEC Computers and interFRONTIERS is a clear focus and segmentation of its channel base in the region. This segmentation - one segment focusing on corporate business and the other in distribution - is based on the new product road map from NEC Computers.
"NEC Computers has a complete range of PC-based business solutions from the SOHO level through to SMB, to the large enterprises," said Lenia Iacovides, Managing Director, interFRONTIERS.
"Our focus now is to work with our resellers to make them key value partners. We would like them to focus on their core strengths and move towards offering solutions."
The conference was attended by NEC Computers' senior management who revealed the company's new international channel strategy and product roadmap. Hisanobu Mori, General Manager for Overseas Business Promotion from NEC Corporation in Japan, shared his commitment to enhance the cooperation between NEC Corporation and its international subsidiaries including the newly formed NEC Computers.
Jean Claude Tagger, President of NEC Computers, presented the corporate strategy for the company. He said, "Over the past four years since entering the emerging markets in the region with interFRONTIERS, we have seen our business grow. We now have the solutions and the range of products to become one of top 5 players in each of the markets we do business in."
interFRONTIERS also celebrated its fourth year of partnership with NEC Computers at this conference and took the opportunity to recognise contributions from its partners with special awards.
Michel De Bievre, Executive Director of NEC Computers, International Division congratulating Lenia Iacovides, said, "interFRONTIERS is now a fully geared extension of NEC Computers for the region." He went on to reassure the NEC partners from the Middle East region that "NEC Computers have now all the adapted tools and products to be successful in the region, thanks to synergies between the different NEC Divisions."
The conference was held over two days from 15th to 16th November and was spread over two separate sessions: the morning sessions included corporate presentations on strategy, roadmaps on the complete range of products and solutions while the afternoon sessions were devoted to more personalised meetings between the management of NEC Computers, interFRONTIERS and the individual partners to help address specific opportunities or special projects.
