IDEX is the leading tri-service defence exhibition in the Middle East and is expected to be the largest and most comprehensive defence exhibition and conference to be held in 2007. SOFEX is the leading exhibition specialising in Special Operations Forces & Homeland Security exhibition and conference in the Middle East, to be held in 2006.
HRH met with IDEX organisers from the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) and the SOFEX organisers, during which HRH commended the organisers for furthering the level of cooperation between the UAE and Jordan, in developing the regional and international defence exhibition sector. He noted the exhibition industry plays a vital role in enhancing the economic growth of both countries. HRH also commented that the relationship between SOFEX and IDEX was an excellent example of the mutual respect that both countries hold for each other.
The IDEX and SOFEX stand, which is prominent in the East Hall of the air show has hosted important delegations from the aviation and defence sectors, national and international during the event.
Widespread interest and support of SOFEX 2006 and IDEX 2007 has been significant.
