Shell appoints prominent public figures

A unique panel of high calibre government officials, ambassadors, and prominent media businessmen has been selected to judge the first Regional Intilaaqah Awards, Shell - the sponsor and developer of Intilaaqah - announced today.
Judges have been selected to represent the region, and the panel will comprise senior representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and both the Egyptian and the UAE embassies in Oman. Adding diversity to the panel is Faysal Abou Zaki, deputy General Manager, Al- Iktissad Wal-Aamal group.
Announcing the panel, Dr Mohamed Defrawi, Managing Director of Shell Abu Dhabi, said: "The high profile members of the judging panel reflect the positive response the award has received from the region's VIPs, businessmen and entrepreneurs. The judging panel will examine the applications submitted earlier by the twelve nominees and will interview each of them before the event."
Standard guidelines have been developed and will be followed by the panel while interviewing and selecting the winners and their runner-ups.
