Middle East Electricity announces move of halls to accommodate more exhibitors
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, November 28 - 2005 at 16:24
- PRESS RELEASE
Due to overwhelming demand for space from exhibitors wanting to participate in Middle East Electricity 2006, organisers IIR Middle East have made additional floor space available by shifting the exhibition into Halls 1a, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 at Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
The announcement means that Middle East Electricity 2006 will now be the largest ever staged. "Demand for space has been stronger than ever before," added Woodbridge. "This clearly demonstrates how vital a showcase Middle East Electricity is to the global energy industry, and also re-emphasises how important this region is to the companies that will travel to Dubai from all over the world to market their products and services at the show."
The event is of critical strategic importance to local, regional and international companies who are competing for the numerous lucrative contracts issued from the Middle East region. The show's key strengths are the high number of senior key decision makers that visit every year and the ongoing process of development that ensures that the show is best structured to support the growth and enhancement of the region's energy infrastructure whilst stimulating the energy industry as a whole.
"We're grateful for the continued endorsement and wholehearted support of the UAE Ministry of Energy and the Federal Electricity & Water Authority," added Woodbridge. "We consistently strive to deliver a show that addresses the needs of the region - for example, this year we have added a dedicated section for the natural gas industry alongside those for power generation, new and renewable energy and lighting - this ensures that the show is always relevant and that it gives the region's key decision makers the opportunity to see, first hand, the latest products and services that the world leaders have to offer, whatever area of the energy industry they are active in."
Middle East Electricity, which takes place at Dubai's International Exhibition Centre from February 5-8, 2006, will feature the leading names from the global energy industry, including ABB, Eaton Electric, Ducab, Lucy Switchgear, Coopers, Areva, Hyundai, Danway, LS Group, GE Energy, Perkins, Panasonic, Al Babtain, Cummins and Osram. The show will also house 18 national pavilions, with Germany having the largest ever and more than 700 exhibitors.
"Our prime objective is to continually enhance Middle East Electricity as an environment in which the industry can grow dynamically, as the region benefits from exposure to, and interaction with, companies that bring their global industry expertise and experience to the area - the Middle East's needs and ambitions are clear, and we will continue to maximise our contribution towards their achievement" concluded Woodbridge.
