Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced the agenda for its upcoming CIO event.

Sponsored by IBM, the eagerly anticipated CIO event will be held on the 28th of November at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, UAE.

Following a successful CIO event with IBM, centered on the banking sector earlier this year, this event will look at the benefits available through Citrix's access infrastructure with IBM's services and technology, to the growing telecom sector in the region. In line with the informative content of the conference, the CIO event is expected to attract a high-profile audience comprising senior IT managers, CIO and key decision-makers from Middle East ISPs and other telecom firms.

Speaking on the upcoming CIO event, Antoine Aguado, Regional Manager, Citrix ME said:
"With two international speakers plus key executive delegates from the region's Telcos, we look forward to repeating the success of previous CIO events. In addition to presentations from the guest speakers, this is an interactive forum and sharing of ideas and best practices. For this event, we have focused on the regional telecom vertical to communicate the immense potential that Citrix's access infrastructure with IBM, provides to ISPs and other telecom companies."

Aguado and Takreem El Tohamy, General Manager - Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan, will introduce the event explaining the strategic partnership between Citrix and IBM.

This will be followed up by an in depth presentation by guest speakers from Europe, Mr. Zdenek Kaplan, CIO of Cesky Telecom and Mr. Olivier Marchal of France Telecom. They shall explain the usage and advantages of Citrix/IBM within their organisations and for the telecom sector in general and host an interactive Q&A section.

"We believe that sharing the experiences of customers from different countries will add value to organizations across the Midde East region. As convergence and consolidation continue to change the landscape of telecommunications, helping operators embrace the possibilities of new technology models across their enterprise is key for them to offer the most innovative services to their customers," said Mr El-Tohamy.
