Batelco adds more benefits to Freedata packages

Since the launch of its Freedata packages in September 2004 - customized to meet the needs of mobile data customers by offering essentials such as GPRS, SMS, MMS, and circuit switched data - Batelco has further developed the packages to exceed the needs of its customers.

In response to these demands, Batelco is re-launching its Freedata packages with even more benefits aimed at satisfying the ever changing and sophisticated requirements of its customers.

With the re-launch of the FreeData packages, subscribers currently on the BD2 package will immediately get upgraded to 5MB of free data (as opposed to the previous 1MB). Subscribers on the BD5 packages will also get upgraded to 10MB of free data (compared to the previous data threshold of 5MB). Two new packages have been introduced with data of up to 100MB - the BD10 package with 25MB of data, and the BD25 package with 100MB of data.

Free SMS has also been added to these packages: the BD5 package gives customer 30 free SMS messages, BD10 gives 45 messages and 75 messages for the BD25 option.

Features of the current packages include fast connection to the internet of speeds up to 70Kb over EDGE, low monthly rental, GPRS roaming, convenient usage in laptops and GSM/GPRS/EDGE enabled devices, convenient payment methods, and round the clock support through Batelco's mobile helpdesk.
